Seems I’m all about the skin care lately. Perhaps it’s because I’ll be turning 40 this year that my interest has increased. Yes, it’s a bit late, but better late than never. I’ve been testing out the new skincare brand Eloquence for a couple of weeks now and so far I’m really impressed. I’ve been using the Pure Luxury Collection* which includes Eloquence’s four step routine plus an all-round nourishing treatment oil.
First a little bit about Eloquence. Eloquence is a new, natural premium skin care brand focusing on skin, hair and also nails (the treatment oil is brilliant for cuticles). They use Sachi Inchi Oil throughout their products to give the skin a boost of hydration and overall wellness. Sachi Inchi Oil has a high level of antioxidants, fatty acids and also vitamins. This helps to keep the skin hydrated and in top condition.
I’ve been sticking to the 4 step routine and using the oil for targeted treatments such as my nails and skin. Beginning with:
Step 1. Purifying Facial Cleanser (£7.99). I’ve been using this as my cleanser in the morning. My morning routine is pretty minimal so this perfectly fits into my routine. One pump gives you a small amount of pearl like cream which gives a foam when mixed with water. As well as containing Sacha Inchi oil it also has cucumber and coconut extract. My skin feels refreshed but slightly tight after use, but not overly drying. A decent morning cleanser that I’m happy to continue to use. I don’t think I’d repurchase it though.
Step 2. Firm and Tone Serum (£19.99) . I love this product. Serums can often irritate and break-out my sensitive skin but this is just lovely. It contains glycerin and coconut oil to illuminate the skin. It has Hyaluronic acid for a boost of collagen that plumps and softens the skin. And of course it again has Sacha Inchi Oil for a boost of antioxidants. The pearlescent cream sinks in easily, leaving the skin smooth, soft and refreshed. I’d definitely repurchase this. It works really well on my skin.
Step 3. Firming and Moisturising Eye Gel (£19.99). The eye gel targets dark circles and puffiness. It contains hyaluronic acid to plump up and smooth out fine lines and also help reduce dark circles. I’m really dubious as to whether topical treatments can have any effect on dark circles and this hasn’t convinced me. But what I do like about this clear gel is that it sinks in easily and leaves no tackiness, unlike some eye gel products. It tightens the eye area and doesn’t irritate my eyes. A good, solid eye gel.
Step 4. Protect and Repair 24hr Cream (£14.99) This is another hit with me and a bargain to boot. I’ve been using this both morning and night. The pearlescent cream is thoroughly hydrating without being heavy. It sinks in beautifully leaving no residue and leaves my skin comfortable and soft. It contains both hyaluronic acid and Sacha Inchi oil for a super boost of hydration. I’d definitely repurchase this again.
Finally, the all-rounder Eloquence Nourishing Treatment Oil (£29.99). This is a high-quality oil that can be used for pretty much any skincare need. It works brilliantly for cuticles and dry skin on the body. It can be used as a pre-wash treatment for your hair or after washing in dry hair for a bit of shine and condition. I’ve also been using this for an extra boost of hydration in the evening. I found this to sink in easily and didn’t sit on top of my skin or feel uncomfortable. Also it didn’t exacerbate any oily areas or break me out. If you’re looking to incorporate an oil into your routine I’d think about giving this ago. There’s a lot of product there and it should last you a while. Another repurchase for me.
You can buy all 5 of the products for £75 but they’d still all work brilliantly individually. There’s an offer currently running for 20% off with the code JANUARYEQ (I think it'll still work, it's on their website)
