The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit in Brunette/Brown 02

I recently took advantage of The Body Shop's sale so I bought a few products new to me but all of which have good reputations- vitamin c microdermabrasion, all-in-one face base, camomile cleansing butter, and this eyebrow kit. I have the shade brunette/ brown which matches my brows almost perfectly. I'm so lazy when it comes to my eyebrows, actually that's probably true of my whole beauty routine, I like something quick and easy to use while providing good results, and becoming a new mum recently has made this even more true. On days when I do take that wee bit extra time to do my brows I've really been enjoying this product. I've been using the niftily designed brush to apply the soft powder to fill in and define my brows.

The powder is long wearing, I found it lasted all day. It's practically foolproof. If too much powder is applied it's easy to correct. This is definitely for those that like more natural looking brows but it can be built up for a more power-brow. You only need a small amount of product so this will lad for ages making it well worth £10, I bought it for £6 though. The Body Shop seem to have lots of offers on lately so it'd be worth picking it up when another discount comes along.

Sounds impressive eh? Hmm. The serum is orangey in colour with no significant smell. It sinks in easily and I've experienced no bad reactions on my sensitive skin. You apply a couple of drops of this onto your fingers through the dropper (well it is science after all) after cleansing and before moisturiser. It does feel like a nice treat to be applying this to the skin, it has such a good reputation after all. But for why? I'm not entirely sure, I haven't noticed any changes to my skin. I have read/heard people say that you'll notice the difference once you stop using this product. I might try this, however I'd like to see noticeable results while actually using it, it's not a cheap product after all! ( I was very kindly given this as a Christmas present). So far I'm really undecided on this product, I'll give an update in another few weeks.

Have you tried this, did it work for you?

Topshop Lip Paint in Hibiscus

And another Topshop makeup review. Again, I really love this product. Topshop’s Lip Paint in Hibiscus is a bright, vibrant pink with cool undertones. It really brightens the whole face. This liquid lipstick sets within a couple of minutes but remains glossy looking. It can be a bit drying but I don’t find it overly so and is more comfortable to wear than many of the other liquid lipsticks out there.

The longevity of this is amazing. You only need one swipe of this to get fully pigmented colour that lasts for absolute ages. Even with eating, drinking, kissing. The wand it comes with makes this super easy to apply and I don’t think there’s any need for liner, not that I usually use any anyway.

I love this product and I’ll definitely be buying some more, I have my eye on Tallulah, a bright red colour.

Have you tried these? Did you like them?

Korres Wild Rose Brightening Eye Cream

Ah, eye cream. I’m still undecided whether you actually need a separate cream for the eye area. I usually just use a face moisturiser, but I had a voucher and decided to try out a product that claimed to brighten the eye area, God knows I need it. Korres Wild Rose Eye Cream claims to brighten and moisturise while restoring skin tone and texture, sounds good eh? Well, it definitely moisturises. The cream is white and thick but sinks in quickly leaving the skin feeling lovely and soft, and it does seem to reduce the appearance of fine lines. This makes it ideal for using concealer, especially if you have a few lines going on and especially dark circles. Initially it does brighten but the effect is only temporary, disappearing when the moisturiser fully sinks in. I haven’t noticed any effect on my dark circles.

This cream has an SPF in it which some may find irritates their eyes, I haven’t had any problems with this though. There’s also a scent to this, it’s not overpowering and doesn’t seem to cause any irritation.

I like this eye cream but I’m not bowled-over by it. I do use it everyday - when I remember too that is - but I don’t think I’d repurchase it.

I bought mine from Amazon but it’s also available from Look Fantastic etc.

What do you think of eye creams? Yay or Nay?
