The Body Shop Christmas Gifts

Christmas is almost here! But don’t panic, The Body Shop have you covered with their delicious and decadent Christmas Range. I have a small selection to show you here but to see more please visit The Body Shop Seasonal Range on line here (or in shops).

This year The Body Shop has added Frosted Plum to their festive fruits, the old favourites Frosted Cranberry and Glazed Apple remain. What I especially like about the smell of these products is that they’re not your typical spice and musty type Christmas scents, they’re wonderfully fresh and crisp. I think it makes for a refreshing change from the heady smells of Christmas. It’s still very Christmassy though, there’s sparkle and bling everywhere as well as comforting, nostalgic smells.

First up I have the Frosted Plum Feel Good Tin* (£17). This smells gorgeous, a mix of ripe plum, magnolia and peony notes, it’s not overpowering at all. The set consists of 4 miniatures that are perfect for Christmas morning pampering. There’s a frosted plum body butter, which leaves a beautiful sheen on the skin, a sugar scrub, a shimmer body lotion, and a shower gel. The packaging is also beautiful, it’ll look great in the bathroom or on the dresser after the contents are finished. A really lovely gift to suit all ages I think.

Next is the Shimmer Mist in Glazed Apple* (£8.50). This also comes in Frosted Plum and Frosted Cranberry. The Glazed Apple can only be described as DELICIOUS. It’s fresh, fruity with a good punch of apple. This is perfect for someone who loves fresh, crisp fragrances. There’s a delicate shimmer through this, it’s not overly shimmery so you could get away with this on a day-to-day basis, for work or Christmas lunches maybe or whenever you like! The bottle needs a good shake before spritzing as the shimmer tends to fall to the bottom. I think this would suit most ages again but this would be a perfect gift for younger girls or teenagers.

The Bath Fizzers* (£12) also come in the three different fruit fragrances. I have Frosted Cranberry which also contains cranberry seed oil. These feel incredibly nostalgic, I remember using these type of bath treats when I was much younger. One bath fizzer is perfect for one bath. It gently fizzes leaving a milky bath that leaves your skin soft afterwards. The scent is surprisingly gentle, when I first opened the package it smelled very sharp but out of the packaging the cranberry is soft and gently warming. What surprised me most about these is that I felt no skin aggravation, products from Lush for example can irritate my skin but The Body Shop’s bath fizzers just felt lovely. I think everyone would love these.

The Body Shop’s bestselling The Sparkler* (£14) is available in limited edition 1920s inspired designs. I have Golden Glimmer and it feels so very decadent, what could be more Christmassy? The beautiful packaging pumps out a gorgeous golden shimmer which smells lovely, a soft scent almost like sugar almonds. This is full on glamour, and who doesn’t like some of that, especially at Christmas? So there we are, a few things from the extensive The Body Shop Christmas range. You should definitely buy something for yourself or for someone else. I have my eye on the Fuji Green Tea range (not shown here), it looks absolutely gorgeous, especially the bath tea. There's also gifts for men available such as The Modern Gent's Shaving Kit (here), which I think looks fantastic. But if you still can't find anything The Body Shop have a personalised gift service called Create Your Own Gift. Pop into a store where an assistant will help you choose items and within minutes you’ll have a wonderful personalised gift. For more info about this and other products please visit The Body Shop here.

Also, (and importantly) The Body Shop have partnered with the charity WaterAid. For every gift marked with a water icon WaterAid will be able to give one family in Ethiopia a day's worth of safe water.

    1. thanks! It's all natural lighting, I have a table set up near quite a big window. The rest is adjusted through ISO and aperture settings on my camera. Not sure if I'll manage it now it's getting really dull all the time x
