Benefit Ooh La Lift Under Eye Brightening Boost

Beauty

This post follows nicely on from my previous post where I mention my fatigue and general exhaustedness. I've been interested in eye products largely due to my ever increasing dark circles. I swear by Bobbi Brown's corrector but sometimes it just isn't enough for my very tired eyes.

I purchased Benefit's Ooh La Lift on a whim (I know how to live, me) and I'm not disappointed in it (although I do think it's overpriced at £17.50). Ooh La Lift is an under-eye brightening boost. It contains raspberry extracts and light-reflecting pigments to perk up tired eyes. The pink, slightly pearlescent 'balm' is applied by dotting the product under the eye and then gently patting into the skin. This gives a lovely dewy brightening effect.

I wouldn't recommend using this as your only weapon in your arsenal against dark circles- it brightens the area BUT it doesn't conceal. For an extra bit of relief keep this in the fridge as it feels incredibly refreshing on tired eyes when cooled.

I'm not enamoured by the packaging though. It's fine when there's still plenty product left in the tube but I think I'll have problems getting the wand to pick up all of this product.

To sum up, this is an excellent soothing and brightening product but it isn't a concealer. I think the price is a bit steep so I'm not sure I'd repurchase this. Have you tried this? Or do you have any recommendations for similar but cheaper products?

  1. I've been committed to Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer for awhile now to conceal my dark circles - mine have been acting up recently as well. But, on a whim (here's to living dangerously) I decided to try YSL Touche Eclat for beneath my eyes because I've heard it's an amazing concealer and highlighter - and truth is, it's amazing! I love it more than Nars concealer for under my eyes. If you haven't experimented with this one yet, I highly recommend it.

  2. Hmmm....interesting. I wanna check on this for it seems like a great one to try out. The color is perfect and the formula is impressive.
