MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 in NW13 is part of Mac's new expansion of their Studio Collection, it's still not the lightest though, that goes to NW10 so this may very well suit the very pale with pink undertones. MAC say:
"A modern foundation that combines a natural matte finish and medium-buildable coverage with broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15. Comfortable and long-wearing: lasts for up to eight hours. Applies smoothly, builds coverage quickly and easily. Contains specially treated micronized pigments and soft-focus powders for a super-smooth look that helps minimize the appearance of imperfections. Absorbs and disperses oil. Contains special skin-conditioning ingredients. Oil free."
Finally MAC have provided a couple of colours that should suit the very pale. Other brands such as Nars and Illamasqua have been a way ahead here ( and they both also provide a great ranges for darker skin tones). I really love the colour if this, the balance of pink undertones is perfect. Some brands *cough*LauraMercier*cough* make the pink undertones just that little bit too dark but I think MAC gets it right.
The finish on this is definitely matte with a natural finish, and may actually be too matte for some people, especially those with dry skins. This does cling to dry spots, so a good moisturising is needed before application. It's also medium-buildable. But you do have to be careful building layers because it can clump. Careful application stops this though. It does a good job at evening out the complexion but you will need concealer for spots etc.
This is really comfortable to wear and wears pretty well. It'd be perfect for those with combination-oily skin. And may very well be suitable for sensitive too, I haven't experienced any irritation with this and no spots.
This is a pretty good daily foundation, it's easy to apply, doesn't look heavy and wears well. I've been wearing it everyday since I got it and I reckon it'll be my favourite day foundation for a while. (I still prefer Nars though!).
Have you tried it? what do you make of it?
