before & after wearing China Doll

This is my first time trying Lily Lolo although I have heard very good things about the makeup from other bloggers. One of the main reasons I chose mineral foundation was convenience. I love liquid foundations but I wanted to try something a bit quicker that needs less work. I'm pregnant and completely knackered so every little helps.

I wasn't sure which colour would suit me so I picked a selection of samples, costing only £1.49 each. After playing about with the colours I decided China Doll suits me best. China Doll is a pale neutral with balanced undertones and it's not the lightest! For really pale folk Porcelain might be something to think about if you can never find anything pale enough.

Application is super-easy and quick. I use Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply the foundation after moisturising. As you can see from the before and after photo pregnancy is not being kind to my skin. I have discolouration and spots. In the after photo I'm only wearing Lily Lolo foundation, it does a remarkable job at evening out my skin and covering blemishes. It doesn't settle into pores or fine lines. For a more flawless finish I think I might try their concealer too. The foundation also lasts really well throughout the day, especially when doubled with the flawless matte finishing powder. Overall I'm really impressed with this foundation, in fact I've just purchased a full-size.

Have you tried any Lily Lolo products?

  1. This looks so good! I have never even been tempted to try mineral foundation as I am scared what it will do on my dry skin but this is tempting!!

    1. it didnt cling to any dry patches I have, I reckon it'd be fine if you moisturise well first x

    1. I was surprised at just how light porcelain is, I think it might still be too light for me in the winter :)
