Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

REN GLYCOLACTIC RADIANCE RENEWAL MASK

There’s a bit of a theme developing with my skincare reviews (for example this review here). I intrinsically link parts of my beauty routine with self-care and boy do I need it now. I recently started back on medication that helps with nerve pain and I’m having the worst side-effects. Even writing this is a struggle but it gives me a certain sense of normality. Anyway, if you regularly read my blog you’ll know one of my favourite methods of self-care is a face mask. They don’t require a huge amount of time but can have a huge effects on your overall well-being. A small gesture of care to yourself.

It’s also really nice now that the night’s are getting longer to have pamper sessions at home after being out in the cold, damp weather. The winter can be a particularly difficult time for some so making even a small amount of time for yourself can make a big difference. Of course, you also want a face mask that actually works. One that I absolutely love is Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask*. This gem of a mask contains a mix of potent active ingredients to help renew and refine the skin. Glycolic, lactic, citric and tartaric acids come from extracts of pineapple, passion fruit, lemon and grape, along with papain from Mexican papaya to chemically exfoliate the top layer of skin and remove dead skin cells revealing a brighter, smoother, decongested complexion. Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask also contains Omega 3 and 7 to help nourish an repair the skin’s barrier.

REN GLYCOLACTIC RADIANCE RENEWAL MASK

Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask itself is a thick, almost gloopy texture without the runniness that smells of oranges. You apply generously and leave for 10 minutes. There is a slight tingling and sensitive skin should be particularly cautious with this mask. In fact Ren recommend that it shouldn’t be used on sensitive skin types. I would say I have sensitive skin and I can handle this mask, not for the full 10 minutes but I don’t experience any burning or redness after this. There’s a muslin cloth supplied with the mask which you dampen to remove the mask.

After removal my skin immediately looks brighter and pores refined. If you have a problem with blackheads this mask should help clear them out. My skin just appears fresher overall. This is the perfect once a week mask. It smooths, refines and brightens. Definitely one to have in your beauty arsenal.

Do you have any rituals you particularly enjoy in the autumn/winter to treat yourself?

  1. I used to love this mask but then one day it just started being a little too harsh on my skin unfortunately. Now I tend to just go for brightening serums and cleansers rather than peels and gels!

    1. ah that;s interesting! I'll be careful with it in the future as my skin can go off things it previously liked too x
