Kiko Makeup Purchases

The other week I just popped into Kiko for a look and came out with quite a few products, oops. Everything is so reasonably priced and in the main good quality so yeah, it’s pretty hard to resist the temptation. I’ve been using all of the products I bought a lot so I thought I’d share them with you in the spirit of blogging.

kiko eyeshadow palette

First up is the Color Fever Eyeshadow Palette in 101 Coral Burgundy. The colours in this palette are absolutely beautiful and are specifically designed for either green or brown eyes. There’s also other palettes aimed at all eye colours, light/dark brown eyes and for blue or dark brown eyes. But I say wear whatever you want! (although, it is a good starting place if you aren’t sure what to wear). The eyeshadows in this palette are baked which apparently gives better pigmentation and colour but unfortunately I don’t find the pigmentation in these to be great. There’s nothing hugely wrong with it and I do think it fits the price tag of around £10. They swatch beautifully on the fingers but transferring to the eyes there’s a slight loss of that beautiful sheen and pigmentation, and for that reason you need to build these up a bit on the eyes. But despite this I still think it’s a decent palette, particularly for everyday wear. There’s very little fall out and the shadows wear well throughout the day.

kiko lip and cheek pencil

Next is Free Spirit Lips and Cheeks Pencil in 104 Horizon Sangria I really love this multitasking product. The rosey red/pink is ideal for everyday wear for both the lips and cheeks. The pencil format makes it super easy to apply to the lips and it also blends out nicely on the cheeks. The colour is a semi-matte and lasts really well on both my lips and cheeks. If this colour doesn’t spark your interest there’s another 5 available.Handily this also comes with a pencil sharpener. Very impressed with this product.

kiko khol pencil in white

I had been looking for a white khol pencil for a while but I hadn’t really seen any I fancied so I thought I’d give Kiko’s Khol pencil in White 101 a go. I like to add a bit of white or pale pink to my waterline to brighten up my eyes and Kiko’s lasts reasonably well in that area. I also like to add some white as an eyeliner too. Kiko’s khol pencil is soft and easy to apply but it does fade so I’m not sure I’d repurchase this but for a couple of pounds it’s pretty good.

kiko eyeliner pen in black

I am forever looking for an eyeliner that lasts on my oily eyelids and Kiko’s Out of Bounds eyeliner pen in Black is doing a pretty good job. It does fade slightly throughout the day but in the main it’s holding up pretty well. If you don’t have any issues with oiliness on your eyelids this would work especially well for you. The beautifully packaged eyeliner pen is incredibly easy to use, if you’re an eyeliner novice this is the kind of eyeliner pen to definitely start out with. It’s so easy to apply to the lash line and do a flick. You can make it thin or build it up for a thicker line/flick. The Out of Bounds eyeliner pen is well worth a look if you like your eyeliner or even if you’re just starting out.

  3. They have some lovely products.
I was hugely disappointed with their mascara, though. Dry and flaky.
Their website is good but think £25 minimum spend is a bit rich.
    Glad you found some gems
