Lightstim for Wrinkles Review Update

Lightstim for Wrinkles* handily incorporates leading LED therapy technologies in a compact handheld device to use in the comfort of your own home. It’s a non-invasive beauty treatment that has long-lasting effects in contrast to the much more intrusive botox or fillers that only have temporary effects. Lightstim and similar technologies have been used in salons and spas for quite sometime now. Similarly, the LED technologies are used medicinally to help alleviate pain. So this type of technology is longstanding and can work. In fact, Lightstim is approved by the FDA, a US organisation that ensures medical devices are safe to use and deliver effective results. The FDA clinical trial showed a significant improvement in the skin of 100% of all participants (40 in total) in an eight week period. That sounds pretty impressive. I wrote my initial thoughts in this post back in November when I first started using Lightstim. I’ve been using it for around 3 months now so I have a good idea of how effective this is, for me at least.

For reference here’s a brief overview of my skin: I’m 39, 40 this year with fine lines at my eyes. I have some discolouration from pregnancy, my pores are visible due to my combination/sensitive skin type. I get some hormonal acne and I have some scarring from previous acne flare ups. Hopefully this will give you a comparison for your own skin.

To get the best out of Lightstim for wrinkles you need to use it 5 times a week for 8 weeks. You can target whichever parts of your face you like or you can work your way around your whole face and neck. There’s a 3 minute timer on the Lightstim which lets you know when to move onto the next section of face. I should point out that the Lightstim is connected to a mains socket which means you’ll need to sit near one when using it. Batteries would be handier (I imagine you’d go through lots of them though) or a chargeable device, this is a minor gripe though.

Initially I found this easy to fit in. I used it when watching the TV at night for around 30 minutes each time but around 2 weeks I started waning a bit. It became a bit of a chore to do. But I persevered, I’m no quitter. At around 6 weeks roughly I started to notice results. My skin was becoming much firmer and my overall complexion looked brighter. I didn’t notice any effects on my fine lines at this point. Now with an end in sight I kept going diligently. After the 8 weeks you just need to use the Lightstim 2-3 times a week.

So after using this for a good deal of time I’ve definitely had some results. My skin is much firmer than it was and overall my skin looks better. Some scarring has significantly reduced. I haven’t noticed much in the way of reduction in my fine lines, I’d say they’re less noticeable to me but not gone. I haven’t really noticed any difference in my pores but I’d be very surprised if I did. I think I’ll get more of a benefit in the next few years when my skin’s collagen and elastin production begins to properly drop off. It’s certainly made my skin much firmer so when I do start to get more wrinkles the Lightstim should lessen there appearance. I’d just like to say I’m not too bothered about wrinkles but I do like to look healthier and I’ve definitely felt the Lightstim has done this. I think the tide is turning on how anti-ageing (urgh) is being sold to us, and quite frankly it’s about time. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with looking our age.

The Lightstim for Wrinkles would be perfect for anyone who either can’t go to salons for treatments (or doesn't like going) or would like to add to salon treatments at home. While it’s quite expensive to purchase initially it still works out cheaper in the long run than pricey salon treatments. It's incredibly easy to use and I'm enjoying it as part of my skincare regime.

The Lightstim for Wrinkles device comes with a storage bag, collagen peptide serum and a guide. It’s available to purchase from Current Body

What do you think of it? Have you used anything like this?
