Kiyoko Lip balm

KIYOKO LIPBALM

I'm a sucker for packaging so when I saw this fine looking tube with gorgeous typography on The Sunday Girl I had to purchase it. Kiyoko is a new brand to me. They're a small Dutch unisex lifestyle brand influenced by Japanese culture. There’s only three products currently available to buy; two sweatshirts and a lip balm. All items are made from the highest quality products. It’s paired-down packaging should definitely appeal to both women and men. I certainly couldn't resist it.

The actual product inside the crisp packaging doesn't disappoint either. The clear, thick balm is lovely to use. It contains 100% natural ingredients, those being Japanese wax, cacao seed, lanolin, vitamin e, and honey. The honey in it gives it a lovely scent, if you love honey products you’ll definitely love this. It's in no way overpowering though. I particularly like using it prior to lipstick application as I find it doesn’t leave very much residue on my lips. The only thing I don’t like about it is it’s not as moisturising as I’m used too. I normally use Carmex but I think this is because the Kiyoko lip balm actually sinks into my lips whereas Carmex sits on top. The more I use it though, the more I get used to it's different texture.

The tube is 15ml which is a decent size and only a small amount is needed so this should last quite a while. If you’re looking for a 100% natural, aesthetically pleasing lip balm I’d give Kiyoko a go.
