Dior Nude BB Creme 002

Normally I wouldn't do a review of such a small sample but I was so impressed with Dior's new Nude BB Creme I wanted to write it up. I did get a few uses from the sample, which I got inside this month's Vogue UK. The only thing I didn't like about it was the colour, it was too dark for me. There are 3 shades available Fair, Light and Medium.

fair, light and medium

The sample I have is numbered 002 so I'm guessing that's fair, I'm really not sure though so please don't take my word for it!

Dior say:

"The rosy complexion by Dior. The beauty balm that offers the perfect balance of fresh, light and flawless correction in an airy formula with mineralised floral water. Moisturised, smoothed, protected, corrected with sheer coverage, illuminated with a unique fresh glow, your skin has never been so beautiful. Available in 3 shades."

and

"A dream combination of skin care and make-up, Diorskin Nude BB Creme is the new generation complexion enhancer. Its light, melting texture enriched with natural origin skin care ingredients conceals only the undesirable and adjusts perfectly to all skin tones. In a single step, Diorskin's Nude BB creme corrects transparently, lights the skin up with a fresh glow, gently hydrates, instantly smooths and protects your skin, day after day."

What I love about this is that it's great for combination/oily skins, huzzah! Many BBs can be treacherous for the oily skinned lady, looking all fresh and gorgeous for the first hour (if lucky) then melting like the Wicked Witch of the West. The coverage is sheer but I found it buildable to a light medium coverage. It makes the skin look so nice. It genuinely evened out my complexion and I looked (Doug E) Fresh . And it lasted all day but as usual I did have to powder my nose a bit, but this definitely didn't make any oiliness worse.

It's much like a foundation with light to medium coverage rather than a BB in texture. It's very light on the skin. I'm not entirely sure how it'd fair on drier skins and anyone with darker skin tones won't find a suitable colour. I am tempted to buy a full size bottle, maybe in the Spring...

This is available to buy now from Selfridges for £30 as part of Dior's Spring Cherie Bow collection, to see more from this collection pop over to Temptalia's blog HERE

UPDATE- I've just sampled 001 in Boots and it is indeed lovely! It's a light, pink colour that should suit most fair skinned people, unfortunately I couldn't get to swatch 003 or take photos the SA reared her (helpful) head. This is most definitely my next base purchase, a little carrot for me to lose some weight...
